New Chairperson of Women’s Commission Purnima Roy taking Charge

Smt. Purnima Roy took over the charge of Chairperson of Women’s Commission of Tripura on Monday 2nd July 2012. She has succeeded Dr. Tapati Chakraborty after completion of her tenure of 3 years.
Along with the new Chairperson, who was a former Head mistress of Tulashibati School, her team of 6 members also undertook the responsibility.
The new Chairperson vowed to stand beside the poor, distressed and needy women of the state and help them whenever needed. In this regard she has sought the help and support from all the sections of the society.
